Humbling as is the statement, yet the fact is certain, that we are all more or less suffering under the disease of sin. What a comfort to know that we have a great Physician who is both able and willing to heal us! Let us think of him awhile today. His cures are very speedy –there is life in a look at him; his cures are radical –he strikes at the center of the disease; and hence, his cures are sure and certain. He never fails, and the disease never returns. There is no relapse where Christ heals; no fear that his patients should be merely patched up for a season, he makes new men of them: a new heart also does he give them, and a right spirit does he put with them. He is well skilled in all diseases. Physicians generally have some specialty. Although they may know a little about almost all our pains and ills, there is usually one disease which they have studied above all others; but Jesus Christ is thoroughly acquainted with the whole of human nature. He is as much at home with one sinner as with another, and never yet did he meet with an out of the way case that was difficult to him. He has had extraordinary complications of strange diseases to deal with, but he has known exactly with one glance of his eye how to treat the patient. He is the only universal doctor; and the medicine he gives is the only true catholicon, healing in every instance. Whatever our spiritual malady may be, we should apply at once to this Divine Physician. There is no brokenness of heart which Jesus cannot bind up. “His blood cleanseth from all sin.” We have but to think of the myriads who have been delivered from all sorts of diseases through the power and virtue of his touch, and we shall joyfully put ourselves in his hands. We trust him, and sin dies; we love him, and grace lives; we wait for him and grace is strengthened; we see him as he is, and grace is perfected for ever.

MR. OBAMA UNIQUE AGAIN

Our current Commander-in-Chief has made history.  He said that we would have change.  He wasn’t kidding.

Many have criticized him for missing the wreath laying ceremony at Arlington.  The truth is that others have missed it.  The following link has information about recent presidents.  Although I don’t trust the source completely, it’s probably ok on this subject:

How is Mr. Obama unique?  I know he did the same thing last year, but it doesn’t make him any less exclusive.

Last Wednesday, Mr. Obama declared June “Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender Pride Month. He is the first president to issue such a proclamation.

Mr. Obama has taken us to a new moral low the last two years.

It is true that Bill Clinton declared June of 2000 “Gay and Lesbian Pride Month.”  Mr. Obama has gone farther.  There are two differences.  The first difference is the additional inclusions of Mr. Obama.  The second is the timing.  Mr. Clinton waited until Memorial Day was over (June 2^nd) to make his declaration.  Mr. Obama had no problem making his proclamation before Memorial Day.

Not only has Mr. Obama made it clear that our military will help create a “new international order,” he is working hard to break yet another barrier.  His declaration is no surprise.  The timing is no accident.  He wants the United States military to welcome homosexuals.

Mr. Obama wants to welcome into the military those who openly sin against the God of Creation.  We already have homosexuals in the courts, in Congress, and in the pulpits.  The shock has worn off for many.

The  homosexual “community” has decided their  behavior is a human right.  Mr. Clinton and Mr. Obama agree that it is.  They are wrong.  It is not a right.  It is a possibility.  Homosexuality is a possibility because humans have free will.  Homosexuality is a sin.  I don’t think this because I don’t like homosexuals.  I believe this because God’s Word says it.

Mr. Clinton and Mr. Obama both call themselves Christians.  How is it possible to be a Christian and continually be in disobedience to God’s Holy Word?  I think they both know about the following words and choose to think that their ways are higher than God’s Ways:

²²Professing to be wise, they became fools,

²³and exchanged the glory of the incorruptible God for an image in the form of corruptible man and of birds and four-footed animals and crawling creatures.

²⁴Therefore God gave them over in the lusts of their hearts to impurity, so that their bodies would be dishonored among them.

²⁵For they exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen.

²⁶For this reason God gave them over to degrading passions; for their women exchanged the natural function for that which is unnatural,

²⁷and in the same way also the men abandoned the natural function of the woman and burned in their desire toward one another, men with men committing indecent acts and receiving in their own persons the due penalty of their error.

²⁸And just as they did not see fit to acknowledge God any longer, God gave them over to a depraved mind, to do those things which are not proper,

²⁹being filled with all unrighteousness, wickedness, greed, evil; full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, malice; they are gossips,

³⁰slanderers, haters of God, insolent, arrogant, boastful, inventors of evil, disobedient to parents,

³¹without understanding, untrustworthy, unloving, unmerciful;

³²and although they know the ordinance of God, that those who practice such things are worthy of death, they not only do the same, but also give hearty approval to those who practice them.

These are the last words in the first chapter of Romans. They are as clear as can be.

No president has ever been perfect.  All men are sinful.  However, no previous president has dared push the limits of God’s moral law this far.  It is an indicator of our culture’s tolerance of sin.

Will America awaken?  Will we turn from our sin or will things get worse?

We have been on a steady spiritual decline until the last twenty years.  Since then, things have gotten exponentially worse.  There were huge negative blips on the radar in 1962 and 1973.  In 2010, the blips seem to be a daily occurrence.

May God have mercy on us.

“WE HAVE TO SHAPE AN INTERNATIONAL ORDER THAT CAN MEET THE CHALLENGES OF OUR GENERATION”

I couldn’t believe my ears.  KARK, channel 4, even played the clip on the 6:00 news.  Young, West Point cadets, preparing to serve our nation and willing to put their lives on the line, had to listen to these words.  Unbelievable.

I read the text of the entire speech.  The cadets were probably asleep by the time Mr. Obama got to the part that most of them didn’t hear.  It’s at the bottom of the speech.  Why didn’t he just say New World Order?  It would have woken a few of them.  Maybe that’s why he didn’t say those exact words.  He had lulled them to sleep like he has so many others.

I haven’t heard the entire speech but my guess is that it was as monotone as most of his speeches and that he probably “lost” the majority of listeners by the time he “dropped the bomb.”

International Order/New World Order -they mean the same thing.

I was not surprised at the words but I was surprised that he used them in that place.  Little has been made of the comment in the mostly ungodly press.  Nevertheless, many are aware of the statement.  Someone else whom I respect had the same reaction that I did:

DOMINION THEOLOGY AND THE TEA PARTY

A militant image and message from a popular "ministry"

Dominion Theology teaches that Christians must literally retake the Earth from Satan before our Messiah returns.  Sounds like some “Christians” are using fanatic Muslim teachings and calling them Christian.

And just how are we going to “retake the Earth?”  The above picture reminds me of the tragic history of many who killed others in the name of Christ. I believe we have the right to defend ourselves.  There is nothing in my Bible that says: “Divide and conquer.” Jesus will “retake the Earth” when He comes again. ANOTHER LEADER: “GLOBAL PROBLEMS CALL FOR GLOBAL SOLUTIONS AND GLOBAL LEADERSHIP”

Mr. Hariri and Mr. Obama

A muslim leader wrote an opinion piece for the L.A. times yesterday. Lebanese Prime Minister Sa’ad Hariri made some very interesting comments.  Just off of a visit with Mr. Obama, he paints a precarious picture of the Middle East.

“Frustration and tragedy have replaced the failed peace,” he said.

Mr. Hariri says that the U.S. is in a position to take the leadership role.  Mr. Hariri discredits the fanatics, but indicates that moderate Muslims are tired of waiting for Israel to make concessions.  “They have turned a blind eye to those parameters “(of sustainable peace). He says that something needs to be done soon.

I disagree with Mr. Hariri that the problem is Israel’s fault.  I agree with him that the Middle East situation has global ramifications.

No one has a closer view of the situation than this man.  The pressure from the radicals is rising and the moderate Muslims are feeling the heat.

Why won’t they leave little Israel alone?  They have all of that land and it’s not enough.  They continue to pressure the free little nation.

Mr. Hariri thinks Mr. Obama, the U.N. Security Council, or the “quartet” are the brokers for peace in this situation.  It looks like we need a savior fast, and I have a feeling the world isn’t going to turn to the real one soon.

IS THE NEW WORLD ORDER MAN COMING TO AMERICA?

…………It wouldn’t surprise me.  He has stepped down as Britain’s Prime Minister and there are murmurs that he is moving to New York.  The murmurs are unconfirmed at this point.  If they become reality, who could possibly be shocked.  I have seen it happen so many times in my short life.  It looks like a person’s political career is over and they end up in a position that you would never expect.  Diane Feinstein is the first example that comes to mind.  She couldn’t hold on to a mayor’s job and the next thing you knew she was a senator.

Besides the rumors that he is heading for New York, some folks think that he is going to be the next head of the IMF (The International Monetary Fund) .  This would be no shock either.  Presently, there are too few sources to put legs on the story.  However, here’s one of the sources:

One of the purposes of the IMF is to “reduce poverty around the world.”  Pardon me for being skeptical, particularly towards a group that is “fostering global monetary cooperation.”  How many times has it been discovered that money designated for the poor somehow ended up paying for some guy’s 10,000 square foot house?  Not enough times in my opinion.

WHAT AN S-300 IS AND WHY IT IS IMPORTANT

Mr. Obama is scheduled to meet today (May 24) with Lebanese President Saad Hariri.  The US is stating “grave concerns” over Hezbollah’s buildup of arms in Southern Lebanon.  It is likely to be a topic during today’s discussion.  The following headline appeared yesterday:

The Israelis are sure to doubt any “grave concerns” because of  recent U.S. decisions.  The change of position on the S-300 is one of several Obama Administration policy changes that have caused the people of Israel to question American support.

An S-300 is a Russian made anti-aircraft battery.  It is capable of shooting down sophisticated multi-million dollar warplanes.

The Obama Administration has “made concessions,” agreeing not to ban the sale of Russian anti-aircraft batteries to Tehran.

The New York Times, a source that I can’t remember using previously, is reporting that:

“The concessions are the latest moves in President Obama’s effort to establish a fresh partnership with Russia after years of mutual suspicion.”

It goes on to state:

“The latest moves generated a fresh barrage of criticism from lawmakers and national security experts who said the administration was giving away too much and getting too little in return.”

There is no question that the unease of those living in Israel will intensify after another awful decision by the Obama Administration.  The following quote is no surprise:

This decision by the Obama Administration has created more instability in a situation that is already way out of control.

COME TO THE USA (IMMIGRANTS)

 

Illegal Immigration = Cheating

 

When I was a kid, I remember waiting in line for the drinking fountain.  This song takes a serious problem, Illegal Immigration, and makes some good points.  I’ve added a few points myself.

#1 When it comes to America’s immigration policy, cutting in line has been accepted for years.

#2 Why do we ignore immigration laws more than any other type of law when it has so many important ramifications?

Could it be that greedy Americans are very used to taking advantage of paying low wages to those who are willing to work for them?

#3 The worst countries kill those who don’t work.  Why does a free country expect so little in many cases?

#4 America’s illegal immigrants sometimes get “benefits” that citizens don’t.  I know this because I’ve received numerous emails from those enraged by the sad state of affairs.

#5 The government turns a blind eye to illegal immigration because of the many jobs “they” will do that “we” won’t.  Where’s the morality in that?  We could decrease our unemployment numbers if those jobs went to citizens.  The truth is, many Americans are too lazy to do the same work. How anyone can make the illegal immigrant working in the fields more of a culprit than the American leaders allowing them to do so?

#6 What happened to the Constitution?

#7 Food stamp policies need to be refigured. The stamps are sometimes given to illegals.  I’ve taken someone (not an illegal) who gets food stamps shopping.  I know it was just one case, and I’m not complaining about my diet.  In fact, I’m continually reminded of how blessed I am and have been.  It is also a fact that I have never eaten as well as that person on food stamps is eating.  I even asked if I could come over and eat at her place when I saw the number of steaks in the shopping cart.

#8 Our immigration policies are contributing to the collapse of America’s integrity.

#9-#10  The dedication of the song is worth two good points.  It is dedicated to hard-working Americans who were born in other countries and chose to come to America the right way.  Why are hard-working Mexican citizens working on our soil?  It seems like we need to start making decisions on a case-by-case basis. Immigration laws should be followed. Until that happens, there will be no solution to this problem.

I received a few interesting emails about immigration while putting together this post.  Here’s one from Barbara Anable:

A Letter from Mrs. Susan Hildebrand, owner of the Shiner Ranch, to Mayor of San Antonio, Julian Castro, in response to his protest of the Arizona immigration law:

Dear Mayor Castro,

I am writing on behalf of my family and many other ranching families who live in South Texas. I listened to your opinion about the actions of the Governor of Arizona, and I respectfully disagree. We have had to deal with illegal immigrants crossing onto our land for many years, and before the drug cartels and terrorists entered the picture, it was always our policy to help these people by giving them something to eat and drink. It is something we wanted to do to help them, but now things have changed and we feel that our lives are in danger from the recklessness shown by those crossing the borders.

In the past nine months, “coyotes” have driven through our fences SIX times while attempting to escape law enforcement. Just this past week, they have crashed three stolen vehicles on the ranch and have abandoned the people who were being transported, including a 14 year old girl who was injured. (The driver had to be air lifted to San Antonio, at a cost to us tax payers.) The vehicle had been stolen from Travis county and it had to be towed. Another tax payer expense, to say nothing of what it has cost us to repair fences and pay for vet bills to pay for an injured horse. (See below.) Last summer around eleven o’clock at night, another stolen vehicle broke through our fence and managed to drive through three other fences in an attempt to escape the Border Patrol. While our men were repairing the fence so that the livestock wouldn’t get out onto the highway, the Border Patrol, Sheriffs from two towns (Pearsall & Dilley), mounted law enforcement officers (with their tracking dogs) from the Dilley Prison, a helicopter, and a wrecker were here searching for the coyote and his passengers. During the hunt, one of the prison dogs was bitten by a rattler and she died later that night, despite medical treatment. One of our working ranch horses was so frightened that he ran into a tree and cracked his skull. Meanwhile, most of the bad guys managed to elude capture. When the coyote was finally apprehended, he was found to have around $39,000 in his pockets…all taken from the people he had abandoned.

It is easy to live in a city away from the problems we are experiencing here near the border, but we would welcome you and your family to join us and see what is happening firsthand. It would be an eye-opener and it might change your mind when you criticize what the people of Arizona are doing in trying to protect their citizens. Racial profiling has nothing to do with following the laws that are supposed to be in effect concerning Illegal immigration. Personally, whenever I write a check, go for a doctor’s appointment, or break a traffic law, I am always asked for my identification. I believe it’s the same for you, too. The Border Patrol is so understaffed, and even if they do apprehend someone they have no power to hold them at gun point. Their lives are put in danger every day while our government officials sit back and offer only criticism of the job they are trying to do.

This land where we live has been in my husband’s family since 1881, and never before have we had any fear about leaving our doors unlocked, walking down a sendero, or driving through a pasture. Now we’ve had to instruct our men not to confront any strangers they come upon because we are unarmed, and they may not be. My husband and I want to leave a legacy of love for this part of God’s country to our children and grandchildren, not one of fear.

Please reconsider your stance about enforcing stricter immigration laws, and stand behind the brave men and women who protect our families, as well as your own. I appreciate the chance to give you some idea of what we are dealing with, and it is my prayer that you will support defending our borders before it is too late.
