How Can God Bless A Nation That Has Turned Its Back on Him?

I remember Tony Robbins as a guy who used to have answers for people.  To his credit, he doesn’t pretend to have answers to our nation’s problems and he does a good job in this video of putting them in perspective.

The answer to the title of this post is: “He won’t.”  If the Hebrews were taken into captivity, what makes us think we can escape it?”

Jesus is our only hope.   Will we turn back to Him?  Most of the time I think the answer is no.  I don’t know about you, but I’m ready to go home.  To live is Christ, to die is gain.  We continue to run the race until we are called home.  I think the race will be ending soon.

This quote comes from the conclusion of a well-written six part article by Debra Rae.  If you are interested in the topic of global government, this well-researched and well-documented effort is worth your time.

I’m not as certain about the white horse rider’s identity as Debra is but who agrees on everything in the book of Revelation?  I think she is spot on for the most part and her conclusion in part one is an example of her insight: – CR

THE GLOBAL ECONOMY – A FUNDAMENTAL TRANSFORMATION?

¹⁷and he provides that no one will be able to buy or to sell, except the one who has the mark, either the name of the beast or the number of his name.

It is this passage in Revelation 13 that causes many Christians to believe that there will eventually be a one world government along with a one world “currency.”

I lean towards this view myself, because of the above verses and other scriptures.  Since the prophecies about Jesus were fulfilled perfectly, I can’t see those that deal with future events having any less accuracy.

Evidently, U.N. Secretary General Ban Ki Moon made a statement on Tuesday that would cause many to take notice.  In Cancun, Mexico, at the U.N. Framework Convention on Climate Change, Conference of the Parties 16, Mr. Moon said:

“We need to fundamentally transform the global economy – based on low-carbon, clean energy resources.”

German economist Ottmar Edenhofer, an official with the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, said in an interview with Neue Zürcher Zeitung on November 14:

“… it’s a big mistake to discuss climate policy separately from the major themes of globalization. The climate summit in Cancun at the end of the month is not a climate conference, but one of the largest economic conferences since the Second World War. … we redistribute de facto the world’s wealth by climate policy. … One has to free oneself from the illusion that international climate policy is environmental policy. This has almost nothing to do with environmental policy anymore ….”

One question I have is: “Why could I not find this story in any mainline sources, including Fox?”

Are Christians the only ones concerned about the global ambitions of the U.N. or are Christians paranoid?  I think the former is much closer to the truth.

How much the U.N. will be a part of the two verses above are pure speculation.  Jesus told us to “watch,” and that’s what I intend to do.

“SCIENTISTS SAY…SKEPTICS SAY”

Refreshment on a Hot Day

It is hot again.  Isn’t that what one might expect in the middle of summer?

You should think it is hot because of global warming. You are a skeptic if you think it is warm across most of the nation because it is summer.

If you listened to the NBC national  T.V. news broadcast last night, you heard the assumption. One had to be deaf not to hear it.

Like many of you, I tune in to a national media “feed” to see what is being fed.

Last night’s report on the current weather conditions made the position of the mainstream media obvious.

It went something like this…

“Scientists say that global warming is upon us.”

“Skeptics say it is not so.”

“Scientists point to the facts.”

“Skeptics say the facts are blurred.”

It went on and on.

The gist was that no scientist lines up on the “it’s hot because it is the middle of summer” side.

Well, I have news for the mainstream news people.

There are brilliant people who think that global warming policies are untrue and unethical and will:

• destroy millions of jobs.
• cost trillions of dollars in lost economic production.

• slow, stop, or reverse economic growth.
• reduce the standard of living for all but the elite few who are well positioned to benefit from laws that unfairly advantage them at the expense of most businesses and all consumers.
• endanger liberty by putting vast new powers over private, social, and market life in the hands of national and international governments.
• condemn the world’s poor to generations of continued misery characterized by rampant disease and premature death.

These scientists think the facts show the costly “global warming” opinion to be a political truth only.

I thought it only fair to give these scientists a say, though this blog reaches far fewer than the opinion expressed to millions last night.

You might be interested in an email that I received from Bob Driggers.  This editorial, written by a friend of Bob’s, appeared in the Brownsville (TX) Herald.  The patriots in Texas are fighting on many fronts.  Bob has sent an email that describes shootouts along the Texas border with Mexico.  Now, the Texans have an oil spill mess to add to the immigration problem.  Where are Crockett and Bowie when you need ‘em? – CR

The email:

James Cameron, the esteemed and very successful Hollywood movie director (Avatar, Titanic) is quoted as calling British Petroleum’s management a bunch of morons.  This is apparently because they declined his offer to help them plug the oil well blowout in the Gulf of Mexico.

The Obama Administration is outraged by this highly inappropriate snub and breach of protocol because, as we all SHOULD know, Hollywood Directors are closer to God than any of the rest of us.

This is a clear example of the complete loss of common sense in Washington D.C. and the current administration.  Obama’s implication is that a Hollywood film director knows better how to address deep sea petroleum engineering than the largest, most successful energy companies on the planet.

I suppose that this sort of nadir in behavior should be expected of a group who have never been in the “private sector” where people actually do things and get paid for creating value.  The academics and government workers surrounding our president are clueless.

They schedule meetings and form committees, and yes, call on Hollywood movie directors to seek counsel on what to do as the Governor of Louisiana begs for a permit to build sand berms to stop the oil from entering their estuaries.

This is a very bad time for this great nation as our leadership has no sense of direction except to kill business, increase taxes, and regulate us into oblivion.  And oh yes, I almost forgot….call on Hollywood to solve our problems.

Don’t forget to vote. PLEASE.

WE MUST ACT QUICKLY – THEY WANT TO TAKE AWAY MORE FREE SPEECH RIGHTS

When will it stop?  Now they are trying to quiet groups like the National Right To Life Organization.  We must stop them. They are out of control.

Below is an email that I received from the National Right to Life Organization.  It appears that we must act quickly or we may lose another one.

In the email,The NRLC asks us to call the Washington office of Mike Ross.  The link is provided.

This is Mr. Ross’ website.  It says, “Contact Mike” at the upper right.  After typing in some personal info, I checked “other” for subject and left a short note that I was pro-life and that he should vote against H.R. 5175.  It took about 5 minutes.

I would recommend that you attempt to call the Hot Springs office and that you leave a message in his email box.  The call to D.C. is unnecessary if enough concern is voiced in his own district.

THE ABOVE INFORMATION was just posted hours ago, and I have
already heard back from the office of Mr. Ross.  I am including it to show you how the legislation is being packaged.  I’m sure Mr. Ross is aware of the ramifications articulated by the NRLC.  It will be interesting to see the legislation in its final form and how Mr. Ross voted on it.  The form, of course, will depend some on the noise that people make.  Here is the reply that I received:

DID YOU NOTICE THE TITLE.  IS THAT PROPAGANDA OR NOT?  It sure sounds good, but we know that a portion of the bill is very bad.  While we’ve been doing our business, they have been doing theirs.  Little by little, wonderful sounding legislation is taking away the rights set up for us in our Constitution.  All of this wouldn’t be a problem if our judges viewed the Constitution in its original framework.  How bad is it?  The judge who will soon be considered for a seat on the highest court in the land wrote her college thesis on communism.  My response to all of this:

Let Thine ears be attentive to my cry for mercy.

If you O Lord kept a record of sins, who could stand?

But with you there is forgiveness;

The U.S. House of Representatives may vote within days on the so-called “DISCLOSE Act,” legislation that would place sweeping new restrictions on the ability of incorporated groups, including NRLC and NRLC affiliates, to communicate with the public about the actions of federal lawmakers.

According to press reports, the House Democratic leadership has agreed to add a narrow “carve out” that will effectively exempt the National Rifle Association (NRA) from some of the key restrictions in the bill, in return for which the NRA has agreed that it “will not be involved in final consideration of the House bill.”

In a June 15 letter to House members, posted here (in PDF format, here), NRLC reiterated its strong opposition to the bill, which it called “pernicious, unprincipled, and unconstitutional legislation.” Regarding the proposed carve out, “With respect to the National Right to Life Committee, this amendment is not only worthless, but adds insult to injury,” the letter said, adding that NRLC’s congressional scorecard will describe a vote for the bill as a vote for “a blatant political attack on the First Amendment rights of NRLC, our state affiliates, and our members and donors.”

ELITE MEET

Two and two make…let’s see…four?  Yep, things are starting to come together.

The title of the article featured here is: “A Secret Meeting by the World’s Financial Elite Could Decide the Fate of Europe’s Economic Crisis.”

The reason that groups like these are gaining power is the same reason we see Washington D.C. faltering.  Many would say that “faltering” was a kind word.

MOST PEOPLE ARE CONTENT TO SIT BACK WHILE THEIR RIGHTS ARE BEING ERODED LITTLE BY LITTLE BY A GOVERNMENT THAT IS WAY TO BIG.

I’ve seen stalactites and stalagmites.   A very slow drip can make a huge formation.  Who knows when our drip started, but we’ve now got a gusher.

I like this article because it notes the prophetic implications of what we are observing now.  A different story would be here if I didn’t think the correlation a correct one.

One comment about the article: Mr. DeYoung mentions that Babylon is Iraq.  Historically, this is a true statement, and many, like Dr. Henry Morris (respected highly by me) thinks that the Babylon scripture in Revelation is literal.  Mr. DeYoung doesn’t say what he thinks about the literal truth of a world headquarters in Iraq, but his inclusion of the information and omission of any other possibility would cause one to assume his position.  There are many opposing views, however, to the literal one that places the Babylon of Revelation in Iraq.  Personally, I’ve looked at different views and I don’t know which is correct.

The article makes a good point about a coming world federation.  It is newsworthy.

“WE HAVE TO SHAPE AN INTERNATIONAL ORDER THAT CAN MEET THE CHALLENGES OF OUR GENERATION”

I couldn’t believe my ears.  KARK, channel 4, even played the clip on the 6:00 news.  Young, West Point cadets, preparing to serve our nation and willing to put their lives on the line, had to listen to these words.  Unbelievable.

I read the text of the entire speech.  The cadets were probably asleep by the time Mr. Obama got to the part that most of them didn’t hear.  It’s at the bottom of the speech.  Why didn’t he just say New World Order?  It would have woken a few of them.  Maybe that’s why he didn’t say those exact words.  He had lulled them to sleep like he has so many others.

I haven’t heard the entire speech but my guess is that it was as monotone as most of his speeches and that he probably “lost” the majority of listeners by the time he “dropped the bomb.”

International Order/New World Order -they mean the same thing.

I was not surprised at the words but I was surprised that he used them in that place.  Little has been made of the comment in the mostly ungodly press.  Nevertheless, many are aware of the statement.  Someone else whom I respect had the same reaction that I did:

ANOTHER LEADER: “GLOBAL PROBLEMS CALL FOR GLOBAL SOLUTIONS AND GLOBAL LEADERSHIP”

Mr. Hariri and Mr. Obama

A muslim leader wrote an opinion piece for the L.A. times yesterday. Lebanese Prime Minister Sa’ad Hariri made some very interesting comments.  Just off of a visit with Mr. Obama, he paints a precarious picture of the Middle East.

“Frustration and tragedy have replaced the failed peace,” he said.

Mr. Hariri says that the U.S. is in a position to take the leadership role.  Mr. Hariri discredits the fanatics, but indicates that moderate Muslims are tired of waiting for Israel to make concessions.  “They have turned a blind eye to those parameters “(of sustainable peace). He says that something needs to be done soon.

I disagree with Mr. Hariri that the problem is Israel’s fault.  I agree with him that the Middle East situation has global ramifications.

No one has a closer view of the situation than this man.  The pressure from the radicals is rising and the moderate Muslims are feeling the heat.

Why won’t they leave little Israel alone?  They have all of that land and it’s not enough.  They continue to pressure the free little nation.

Mr. Hariri thinks Mr. Obama, the U.N. Security Council, or the “quartet” are the brokers for peace in this situation.  It looks like we need a savior fast, and I have a feeling the world isn’t going to turn to the real one soon.
